Breastfeeding lays the foundation for good health for all children, both in the short and long term, and is also good for mothers.

In reality, women face numerous obstacles to breastfeeding, starting with the violation of the human rights of motherhood and birth as described by the United Nations Council Special Rapporteur Dubravka Simonovic in the Annual Report which for the first time addresses the issue of obstetric violence as gender-based violence "women become victims of poor health systems, proven by the lack of time and resources, discriminatory laws and dangerous gender stereotypes on the natural role of women in society and motherhood also play a role in childbirth and contribute to limiting the autonomy and the action of women ".

Workshop "The Black Earth Mother Goddess of the Rose Lineage"

"It was 1993 when I first went to live with an Italian family in a rural village in Campania, Italy, and became fascinated by the quasi Pagan-Catholic veneration of the Virgin Mary as Earth Mother. My Italian 'Mamma' would say a prayer to the Madonna as she sacrificed a chicken and then offered its blood to the Earth in gratitude. Her entire life was, and still is, devoted to the agricultural and ceremonial cycle of the year. 16 years later, I published my witch-burnings novel The Serpent's Tale, set in the same village, close to the mountain of Montevergine, where Virgil was initiated at the Temple of Cybele, the Anatolian Black Earth Mother Goddess, whose rites are still enacted in honour of the Black Madonna.

In The Serpent's Tale, the wise-woman Rosa declares, "One day, the Black Goddess will return in her full glory, bringing with her the wisdom of how to live in peace with ourselves, each other and the Earth." In this workshop, we'll be exploring the teachings of the Black Earth Mother Goddess of the Rose Lineage to guide and inspire us in our relationship with the Earth".

Workshop "A World of Spirits - Connecting with the Spirits of Place to Heal the Relationship Between Humankind and Nature"

Now more than ever it appears clear to us how unbalanced our relationship with the Earth is. But how did we get this far?
The split between humankind and the environment occurred in the heart and soul of Western cultures long before its effects became so evident on the outside.
It's for this reason that, while we strive to heal the planet's ecosystems, we should also care for the spiritual aspect of our relationship with Mother Earth.

In this workshop, after a short introduction, participants will be guided through some exercises aimed at grounding our activism in a concrete spiritual practice. In this way, day after day, we will start to heal the sacred web that connects us humans with the spirit of the planet, bringing back to life the ancient wisdom of our ancestors.

Talk "The Goddess, Mother Earth and the Unilateral Giving/Receiving Structures of Life"

To use an analogy from our computer age, unilateral giving and receiving is the 'operating system' of humanity. A gives to B (who receives) and B gives to C (who receives) and C gives to...etc. is the repeated structure that gives value to the receiver and forms the relational matrix of communication and community.
Market exchange is only a kind of contradictory (though popular) software (perhaps actually malware) that contradicts and parasitically takes from the gift economy of humans, Nature and the Goddess in all.

By reclaiming the gift paradigm, and framing our practice for social change within it we can revise our conception of ourselves as a maternal species on mother Earth in the bosom of a Maternal universe where we receive the gifts of light and stardust mediated by the affordances of our environmental niches and the ordered impulses of our neurons travelling across pathways from source to receiver or goal.

This narrative of who we are can allow us to break through the death-dealing thought patterns of patriarchal capitalism that are leading us to the destruction of all.

Talk "How Mother Nature died. The bio-cosmic rupture of the Italian Renaissance"

It was not a sudden death, but a long process with deep and distant roots intertwined with the relationship between the sexes.

How did we go from holding some basic survival knowledge, including the awareness of the contiguity and total dependence of the human world on Nature, of the fluidity of the boundaries between the vegetable, animal and human kingdoms, between the world of the living and that of the dead, and of the possibility of communicating between these worlds (shamanism), of which there is evidence already in the distant Paleolithic (between 50,000 and 12,000 / 10,000) to empires and colonies, industrialization, world wars, market economies, globalization?

Workshop "In Heart of Gaia"

In this workshop we will approach the Sacred Dance as a gift to the Earth. We will observe how the dancer's feet are like sacred clappers that weave the wefts of life by marking the beat of the Great Mother.

The dancer's hands become animated brushes with which to paint Signs, Symbols, Stories in the air.

The belly of the dancer becomes the ocean, powerful and deep, sweet and terrible like the ancestral waters.

The heart of the dancer, burning with lightning and lava, lightning and stars, a source of passion and transformation, a cosmic forge.

And finally, we will seek the Divine in the Dancer, the spark of the Spirit and the mutual gift between Humans and Gods.

Talk "Humans and nature, an alliance to be restored"

Where do "we human beings" stand in relation to the "nature" dimension? Are we masters? Destroyers? Enemies? Allies? Guardians?

Why does someone prove to be very sensitive in the face of appeals to alleviate the impact that the human being has on the planet, while others remain indifferent or even oppose it?

The way we approach and narrate the problem has a direct consequence on the effectiveness of its resolution.

How can we be effective agents of change if our activism is based on modalities, thoughts and actions that still follow the rules of the same system that brought us into this trouble?

During this presentation I will present a radical change of perspective, a look from above that reveals the traps of patriarchal thought that prevent us from restoring the human-nature alliance.

It will then be possible to realize how the symbolism of the Goddess can indicate the way to think, narrate, act a new paradigm.

This concept might sound new for today's time, but it has indeed deep and ancient roots.
